Salt Spring Inn
We chose Northern Lights Solar after many hours of research on different
systems and supply companies. Dan Jung provided us with sound technical
information for us to determine the specifications, location, angles to
sunlight and other considerations for a system which needed to pass the
specific requirements for a commercial property. Our solar system was
intended to preheat the input water for our 2 electric hot water tanks that
feed a commercial restaurant kitchen.
The proposal and quotation provided by Dan Jung at Northern Lights was
complete, easy to understand and provided us with the confidence to proceed
with purchasing the "kit" containing 3 Sunrain collector arrays and all the
necessary components for our hot water system. We were impressed that the
quote was very competitive and that all of the components were rated highly
in the solar industry for quality and functionality.
We had a local building contractor study the preliminary material and he was
confident that the installation would be a success. Questions that arose
during the installation were promptly resolved by either Dan Jung or Alan
Anderson.
and the system has now been in trouble free operation over 5 years. We
estimate that our annual saving in electricity exceeds $3500 and have never
run out of hot water since the system came on line. I was very impressed on
how quickly a recent maintenance question was attended to by Alan Anderson
and his Vancouver Island representative, Richard Joyce.
As owner of Salt Spring Inn, I receive many enquiries about our very visible
solar system and I always recommend that a well founded analysis of heating
needs be an essential starting point. I suggest that the Northern Lights
website is a great place to build the necessary knowledge and to evaluate
the system options before proceeding with a purchase.
